FAQ

Iranian Journal of Surgery is currently indexed in: ISC, SID, Magiran, and Google Scholar.

It publishes a wide array of content: original research articles, review papers, case reports, clinical notes, expert commentaries, historical perspectives on surgery, letters to the editor, and structured self-learning modules. Moreover, on matters of national importance and challenges facing the country, the Editorial Board may commission educational or review articles from scholars and faculty experts.

From Autumn 2024, the Iranian Journal of Surgery adopted a bilingual publishing model: every article is published in full text in both Persian and English (i.e. authors submit or produce complete versions in both languages, and abstracts and metadata are bilingual).

The journal is open access and is available without any subscription fee. That means all articles are freely accessible online, and you can have unrestricted access to the articles in PDF format.

The journal is published on a quarterly basis.
